He stooped so low

Philippians 2:7-11 (amp)

But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus destiny did not look pretty from a natural stand point but He completed the course nonetheless. Obedience is the act or practice of following instructions, complying with rules or regulations, or submitting to somebody's authority. Jesus obedience resulted in death but His death brought life to many through the power of His resurrection. Let us take His example and live our lives in full obedience to the will of the Father and enjoy the benefits of resurrection power!

  1. Are you serving anyone right now to the point that they might say you are like their servant. If the answer is not yes, that might explain why if you have not been exhalted to the level you feel you should be. Is that not what the scripture just said above that God exhalted Jesus partly because of his servant's attitude. Um, of course we should render a servant's attitude to God, if married our spouses, our pastors and get this our bosses at work. Just food for thought :)
