Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
This scripture leaves the reader with no room for error as to what pleases God. Sometime people say to the Lord during a prayer of consecration, “Lord I just want to please you, just let me know what you want me to do.”
But this scripture in Hebrews 11:6 tells us what to do to please God. God is pleased when we have and use our faith. One of the things we use our faith for is coming or communing with God. God says you need faith to approach me and without it you will never see me, which displeases God. God wants us to always have access to Him so He gives us faith by the hearing of His Word. God says it is impossible for us to please Him without faith.
Impossible defined:
• Not able to exist or be done.
• Words that further describe impossible: unachievable, unattainable, hopeless, ridiculous, unworkable, and not possible.
We cannot in any wise please God without faith. It is impossible. However with faith we are sure to please Him. Faith enables us to believe that God is. The bible tells us that when the woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus she came to Him in the press. Meaning once she heard about Him faith came and now she was empowered by faith to approach Jesus and thus receive her healing, that pleased God. If she had never heard about Jesus faith would not have come into her heart and she would not have come to Christ and thus she would not have been healed, that displeases God. The bible reveals to us that God is love. Now when you and I hear that and believe it faith supernatural comes into our spirit giving us now the power to receive that love from God. When we hear from God’s word that God is a healer, we believe it, and then faith comes, now we have the means by which to obtain our healing. God loves it when we hear and believe His word because He knows faith will come into our hearts and once faith comes we can receive every good gift and reward He has already prepared for us to enjoy. That pleases God!
Make God smile with pleasure by building your faith and approaching His throne today and every day.
Amen, make God smile*
