Psalms 119: 165
Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble.
When
we love God’s word, it protects us from the trap of offense. To love
God’s word doesn’t just mean you admire it from afar. To love the word
of God is to allow it to dwell or live in you. To love God’s word is to
allow it to work in you that which pleases God, on a consistent basis.
To love God’s word is to honor and esteem it above all else. To love
God’s law is to faithfully obey and submit to it, even when you don’t
feel like it.
Just admiring God’s word; the way it sounds,
the strength and purity of its character, the flow of it's wisdom, will
not keep you from stumbling when offense comes. The word must be alive
in you daily. The scriptures tell us; to let the word of Christ dwell in
you richly in all wisdom. When we love the word of God, great peace
fills our lives and that peace guards our hearts and minds against the
snare of offense.
So saturate your whole being today with the word of God and let it keep you from stumbling.
