Isaiah 55:10-11
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
I love this scripture because it’s just so straight to the point; it’s so sounds like our God. It is so good to be able to hear God’s personality and character in His Words. I can just see God saying this verse. It just makes you shake your head like yep, yep that’s my God. God’s nature is so consistent. He’s not one way today and then tomorrow you can barely recognize Him. When we begin to become more deeply and intimately acquainted with God we can easily recognize His voice/words in a crowd of talking people.
God reveals to us in Isaiah 55:11, that He is indeed a speaking God. He mentions the words that go froth out of His mouth. Remember God told us that man cannot live by bread only but by every word the proceeds or goes forth out of His mouth. When God releases words out of His mouth they have a purpose and a destination. God promises that if He is the true author of those words then they will produce. God promises that they will not return to Him void or with a sad story about how they failed or how they were defeated or harassed by the devil. No, God says, MY, words will not return empty, they dare not come back to God with an excuse or alibi. God’s words must obey Him. God’s words have no other alternative but to do what He said, they don’t know how to disobey Him.
God said, His words will accomplish what pleases Him. His words don’t go out of His mouth and then just do what they want to do, no their mission is to please God and what pleases God is His words fulfilling their destiny. God’s words have assignments they are not just idle, vain conversations, they have purpose. However, it’s one thing to have a purpose but it’s entirely a whole different level for that purpose to prosper. God says not only do I speak words that have purpose but I direct those words to where they need to go, I watch over those words to make sure they carry out all that I intended and accomplish all that pleases me. The words that God speaks are loaded with power to prosper; they have the power within themselves to fulfill His will. God’s words will always: do well, show a profit, flourish, thrive, be in the black and grow. When God speaks the whole earth travails until those words are fulfilled and pleases Him.
So allow the Holy Ghost to bring to your remembrance everything God has spoken and then know it shall come to pass. Not one jot, not one tittle will go unfulfilled. Just watch and see!
Take confidence in the things that God has spoken to you personally and know that He will fulfill His word, all of it, not 99%; only 100% is acceptable and pleasing to God.
